Our History
November 2006 – Launch!
Eagle Aerospace, Inc. was started in 2006 by a group of senior aerospace professionals, as a service disabled veteran-owned small business, dedicated to providing elite aerospace engineering services. The initial group of 4 represented over 110 years of experience!
May 2007 – First Contract!
Eagle Aerospace receives first contract with Lockheed Martin to provide spacecraft module level system engineering integration, coordination, analysis, documentation and reporting of redundancy management concepts. Eagle’s also included fault detection, isolation, and recovery identification and implementation, and functional fault analysis across the subsystems that make up the crew and service modules of the Orion spacecraft.
August 2007 – Eagle Expands Scope
Eagle Aerospace adds program management support and system safety engineering on the Constellation Orion Program. Our Orion program management support includes integrated team chartering, Program Management Plan and Award Fee response coordination.
Our system safety engineers conduct hazard analyses, fault tree analyses, integrated product team support on the Propulsion, GN&C, Launch Abort System and Ordnance subsystems.
September 2008 – New Subcontract!
Eagle Aerospace enters into a subcontract agreement to provide on-site engineering services for fuel reclamation and cleaning operations at DISA CA Data Centers.
Early 2009 – Experienced Growth
Eagle Aerospace reaches 15 team members. Our team still remains very experienced with an average of 20 years. We support design engineering, launch operations, system safety, risk management, Test & Verification, Logistics, production control and program management. We have electrical, chemical, mechanical, human factors and aerospace engineers on staff.
April 2010 – SATOP Gold Level Sponsor
Eagle Aerospace becomes a Gold Level Sponsor in the federal Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program. This NASA sponsored program seeks to connect companies that support NASA such as Eagle Aerospace with small businesses in need of engineering support.
June 2010 – Eagle Provides Key Support for CSERP
Eagle Aerospace played an integral role in Orion obtaining their Human Spaceflight Phase 1 Approval from the NASA Constellation Safety and Engineering Review Panel (CSERP). Eagle team members performed the fault tree and hazard analysis on the following safety critical subsystems: ECLSS, Propulsion, Ordnance, Electrical Power System, and Launch Abort System.
